How many treatments?
For Fractional laser, we recommend a minimum of 3 treatments with an interval, of 4 weeks. The number of treatments depends on your skin condition and the result you are seeking.
How does it work?
The Fractional laser of the Prins Hendrik Clinic works by targeting both the epidermis and dermis. It does this by delivering a laser beam that is divided into thousands of tiny but deep columns of treatment into the skin, both the epidermis and dermis. This fractional treatment results in a faster healing process than if all tissue in the treatment area was exposed to the laser. The healing process from within the dermis creates new skin; sublative rejuvenation.
Must I avoid sunlight?
Until full recovery of the skin, full sunlight should be avoided. Depending on the intensity of the treatment, this is for 2 to 5 days.Â
Who can not be treated:
If you have:
- recent plastic surgery
- Dermabrasion or deep chemical peeling within 3 months before the treatment
- Botox injections within 10 days before the treatment
- Pregnant or breast feeding
- Recent history of cancer, cardiovascular complaints, uncontrolled diabetes or active psoriasis
- Skin sensitivity or active infection
- Auto-immune disease or HIV
